The law firm was organized in the year 2004, as a professional association between the law firms of ROJAS, CACERES & CIA. and LOPEZ & CIA.

The former had been created in 1998 by the lawyers Gustavo Rojas León and Rodrigo Cáceres Lizana specializing in the area of asset financing and litigation. From the outset the firm aimed at offering consulting services to financial sector companies on leasing contracts, factoring, and other related topics, in addition to pertinent judicial advisory services to clients in safeguarding such contracts.

The latter was created in 1982 by the lawyer José Luis López Blanco, who specializes in subject matters of economic, constitutional and administrative law, commercial law, customs and foreign trade. In 1996, the lawyer José Luis López Reitze joined the firm, offering specialty services in commercial matters, industrial property rights, licenses, trade marks and patents, data processing and white collar crime. This office also provided litigation services before ordinary courts and arbitrators.
